Hello again from Fabulous Las Vegas!
Convention season is here, whether it’s a small group of executives or a large party with salesmen and women this time of year is usually when Las Vegas really takes off. It seams as though this year people are coming back to spend money!
We have had some pretty slow times here in Vegas, everyone always hears about how bad the economy is here, how bad the housing market is and so on. I’m sure most people are not aware that parts of Vegas are doing very well. I know for me I have been selling a large amount of wine and we are very busy on a nightly basis. Is it as good as 4 or 5 years ago, no, It probably never will be.
One interesting phenomenon is the events, concerts, fights, etc…. I have been to a few and they are a ton of fun. I am just confused to how a city that is supposed to be hurting can charge higher prices for tickets than almost anywhere else??? Shouldn’t we be trying to fill the event centers and leaving people with a little money in their pockets to spend elsewhere in town??
Once again Las Vegas is a very interesting, fun and amazing city to live and work in and of course a great city to visit. Don’t always believe what you hear about how busy it is or isn’t. Even with the high priced tickets and the hundreds of restaurants and shows, make sure you plan ahead. We want you to come visit, spend your money and most of all leave happy and wanting to come back for more.
Hopefully see you soon,
Cheers!
